Introduction
This privacy policy describes how CurlingWorks collects, uses, and protects information from visitors and players. Some sections (such as accounts and matchmaking) may describe features under development. If a feature is not yet active, the related section does not currently apply.
Information We Collect
Website analytics
We use a privacy-focused analytics tool to understand how visitors use our website. The information collected is aggregated and anonymized, and may include pages visited, device type, and approximate region. We do not use tracking cookies or collect personal information for advertising. Analytics may be provided by an external service or hosted directly by us.
App analytics
We use Unity Gaming Services Analytics to understand how people use our apps. Unity may collect information such as device type, operating system, region, in-game actions (for example: session length, game progress, or crash events), and a Unity player identifier. This information is used to improve game performance and features. See Unity’s Privacy Policy here: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Mailing list
If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address to send you news and updates about CurlingWorks. We will only send you emails if you have given consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails.
We may use a third-party provider (such as a Wix plug-in) to manage our mailing list. These providers store your information securely and process it on our behalf. See their privacy policy for details.
Accounts & Matchmaking
When account and matchmaking features are available, players will be able to sign in using Apple, Google, or Steam. Unity Authentication verifies your account with the provider. We do not receive your password or direct account details. We only receive a Unity Player ID linked to your sign-in provider. Players may optionally choose a nickname for display in leaderboards or matchmaking.
Technical data
We may collect anonymous technical data, such as crash reports and performance logs, to improve stability and functionality.
Links and embedded content
Our website may include links to other websites or embedded content such as YouTube videos. We embed these with options to limit tracking, but the external service may collect data about you (for example, through cookies or tracking). We do not control how these third parties handle your data, and their privacy policies will apply.
